S-T-R-E-T-C-H with Peter Bartlett (Programmes 1, 2 & 3)
As a martial arts instructor, I have been teaching these movements for some years at my karate school (Doushikai, Maidenhead) as warm up routines for our students. They form an integral part of our karate training but they are also useful as stand-alone exercises for most individuals with moderate to good fitness levels who are looking for a regular workout to release excessive physical tension and to help maintain good body structure and function. The emphasis is on controlled, progressive articulations & stretching movements, combined with mindful breathing.
